广东位于中国大陆南部，因相传古为百越(粤)之地而简称粤，北倚南岭，南临南海，山海相映，风景殊丽，是一片有着悠久历史和古老文明的热土。广东海岸线漫长，岛屿众多，独特的地理条件形成了优美的自然环境和丰富的资源蕴藏，珠江三角洲、韩江三角洲土地肥沃，是著名的鱼米之乡。
guangdong, located in the south region of mainland china, is called yue for its abbreviation under jurisdiction ofbaiyue according to the legend. close to nanling mountain in the north and adjacent to the south china sea in the south with beautiful scenery of mountain and sea, it is a land with a long history and ancient civilization. the long coastline, numerous islands and unique geographical conditions of guangdong contributes to the formation of the beautiful natural environment and rich resources. the pearl river delta and hanjiang river delta are famous lands of fish and rice for their inborn fertile soil.

guangdong has a long history of civilization and profound cultural traditions. hundreds of thousands of years ago, “people of qujiang maba” thrived here and their ancient sites are stilled retained now. shi emperor of qin dynasty unified china and then firstly set up nanhai county; martial emperor of the western han dynasty with his broad mind made guangdong an important port of foreign trade. for two thousand years, the offspring living in this land went across the area to transplant the seed of civilization in other places, to enable the integration and exchange of lingnan culture and culture of the central plains, so that the originally unknown civilization of this land is flaunted in china and therefore attracted the attention of the world.
在中华为强敌所屈辱之明，虎门销烟的烈焰及悲壮的鸦片战争标志了中国近代史的发端。在变革以图自强的民主思想萌动的年代，广东学人以康梁为代表率先起改良变法的旗帜。在轰轰烈烈的反帝反封建时期，民主革命的先行者孙中山先生由广东掀起的革命浪潮，最终淹没了数千年的封建帝制。1978年以后，大海之滨的广东以地利、天时、人和等诸多优势成为中国改革开放的前沿阵地。在旧时代奋起抗争，在新时代开拓进取，不屈不挠的前行已使今天的广东成为中国内地经济最发达、最具市场活力和投资吸引力的地区之一。
